The easiest way is to hire a car with a driver for days 3 to 5. Approximate driving times: Kochi to Munnar about four hours, Munnar to Thekkady about three to four hours, and Thekkady to Alappuzha about four hours, on winding mountain roads. From Alappuzha to Varkala, take the train (about two to two and a half hours) or continue with the driver.
